Open BIN files in your browser
A .bin can be firmware, a game's data, a disc's track or anything an app saves as raw bytes. See what yours is right here. Nothing leaves your device.
Or drop it anywhere on this page
What you'll see
Your file opens on what it is: the kind of file its bytes say, the apps that open it and the text and files inside it, with every byte in the hex editor.
- What it is • Told by its bytes, from over 1,600 formats
- Pictures, ZIPs and text inside it • Each opens on its own
- Every byte in hex and text • Search, Go to and Inspect
- Type over, insert or delete • Save a copy
About BIN
BIN only says a file holds binary data, which makes it one of the most common extensions there is: router and camera firmware, BIOS updates, game ROMs and data, a CD's tracks beside their .cue, and whatever an app or a programmer writes out as raw bytes.
Nothing in the name says which, so Filepeek reads the bytes. A disc's .bin opens as the disc, and a picture, a video or a text saved as .bin opens as what it is. Any other .bin opens on its About card: the kind of file its first bytes say it is, the apps that open that kind, the text and the pictures, ZIPs and gzip files inside it, and its shape from start to end.
Its bytes are a click away in the hex editor, 16 a row with their text beside them. Search for text, hex or a number, read the numbers and dates at any byte in Inspect, and type over, insert or delete. Saving makes a new file, and the one you opened never changes.

Questions
How do I open a .bin file?
That depends on what it holds, so drop it here first. Its card says what kind of file it looks like and which apps open that kind, and a disc's .bin opens as the disc.
Can I edit a .bin file?
Yes. Press Hex editor, then Edit, and type over bytes, insert them or delete them, or change a number in Inspect. Save downloads a new file with your edits.
Why does my .bin look like noise?
Packed and encrypted data look random from start to end, as most firmware updates and game archives do. The card's shape shows which parts are packed, and the text inside often names the device or the game.
What's the difference between BIN and ISO?
An ISO keeps only a disc's data. The .bin of a CUE and BIN pair keeps every sector whole, music tracks too, which is why CDs with music are copied that way.
Is it safe to open a .bin here?
Yes. Filepeek only reads its bytes, so nothing in it runs, and the file never leaves your device.
