Open LIB files in your browser
Liberty, the timing, power and area of a library's cells, a file for each corner. Open one right here, every cell with its tables as heat maps. Nothing leaves your device.
Or drop it anywhere on this page
What you'll see
Your library opens as a list of its cells, the one you pick in full beside them.
- Every cell • Sort by area, leakage or pins
- Filter by name, function or kind
- Every table as a heat map • Its slew and load on hover
- Export • Save the cells as CSV
About LIB
Synopsys made Liberty for its timing tools, and it became how every cell library tells synthesis, timing and power tools how its cells behave. A library comes as a .lib for each corner of process, voltage and temperature.
A Liberty file is a library of cells, each with its area, its leakage and its pins with their functions, and tables of delay, slew, setup, hold and energy, read by input slew and output load. A flip-flop or a latch says what its state is, and every table names its template and units.
Filepeek reads the file in your browser and lists every cell with its kind, area, leakage, pins and function, to sort and filter. Pick a cell to see its pins, each timing and power arc and every table as a heat map, with each value and the slew and load it's for on hover. Tree shows the whole file as groups, Text shows it as written, and Export saves the cells as CSV.

Questions
How do I open a Liberty .lib file?
Drop it on this page or choose Peek a LIB. Its cells open as a list with their kind, area and leakage, with nothing to install.
Can I see a cell's delay tables?
Yes. Pick a cell, then one of its arcs, like A1 → X, and each of its tables shows as a heat map, from rise and fall delay to transitions, with each value and the slew and load it's for on hover.
Which cells are flip-flops?
Kind sorts every cell: logic, buffers, inverters, flip-flops, latches, clock gates, level shifters, isolation and retention cells, power switches and physical cells with no outputs, like fillers and taps. Filter by kind, or by a name or function.
Will any .lib file open?
A .lib that isn't Liberty, like a KiCad or SPICE library, opens as text. Filepeek tells Liberty by the library group it starts with.
Can I save the cells as a spreadsheet?
Yes. Choose Export to save the cells on show with their kind, area, leakage, inputs, outputs, function and footprint as a CSV for Excel or any spreadsheet.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The library opens inside your browser and never leaves your device.
