About MSIX
An MSIX is a ZIP that Windows installs as a whole: AppxManifest.xml names the app, its publisher and the capabilities it asks for, and AppxBlockMap.xml holds a hash of every 64 KB of every file. APPX came first, with Windows 8, and bundles hold a package for each processor and language.
Every package is signed: AppxSignature.p7x signs the block map and the manifest, so no byte can change without the signature failing, and the publisher in the manifest must match the certificate's. Store apps are signed by Microsoft. Others by their own publisher's certificate.
Filepeek checks the signature, the certificate chain and the timestamp, and every file against the block map. It lists the capabilities in Windows' own words, flags runFullTrust, which lets a desktop app do anything its user can, and shows what the app adds to Windows, like file types and startup tasks.

Questions
How do I see what an MSIX is without installing it?
Drop it on this page or choose Peek an MSIX. A page shows the app, its publisher, version and the capabilities it asks for, and its files are listed like a folder. Nothing installs.
How do I check an MSIX's signature?
Filepeek checks AppxSignature.p7x, the certificate chain and the timestamp, and every file against the block map's hashes, so it says whether anything changed after it was signed.
How do I look up an MSIX on VirusTotal?
Filepeek works out its SHA-256 inside your browser. Look up on VirusTotal opens VirusTotal's page for that hash, and only the hash goes, never the file. Compare checks it against a SHA-256, SHA-1 or MD5 you paste.
Does opening an MSIX install it?
No. Filepeek only reads it: nothing in it runs, nothing is installed and it never leaves your device.
Can I get files out of an MSIX?
Yes. Pick any file on the left to open it. Its manifest opens as XML. In Chrome and Edge on a computer, Export extracts them all into a folder.
