About AEA
Sony's MiniDisc, launched in 1992, recorded sound in ATRAC, and fans still record and collect discs. Tools that copy tracks off a MiniDisc, like Web MiniDisc Pro, save them as .aea files.
An AEA holds ATRAC1 as the disc stores it, at 292 kbps in stereo or half that in mono, with the track's title.
No browser plays ATRAC1 by itself. Filepeek decodes it with FFmpeg inside your browser, with its waveform, and Export saves a WAV or an MP3.

Those come as OMA files, which play here too.
