About CDR
Corel released CorelDRAW in 1989, and CDR has been its format ever since, the one sign makers, print shops and engravers in much of the world trade in. Up to version X3 a CDR is a RIFF file of Corel's own. Since X4, in 2008, it's a ZIP with the drawing inside and a thumbnail beside it. CDT is the same drawing saved as a template.
The format changed with almost every version of CorelDRAW, and Corel never published it, so a CDR sent to someone without CorelDRAW usually ends in a request for a PDF. LibreOffice and Inkscape read many CDR files through libcdr, an open source reader.
Filepeek reads the drawing with libcdr, compiled to WebAssembly, and draws each page with its shapes, curves, fills, outlines, text and pictures, sharp at any zoom, its pages in a rail beside them. Export saves the pages as a PDF or as pictures.

Questions
How do I open a CDR file without CorelDRAW?
Drop it on this page or choose Peek a CDR. It opens at its first page, with every page in a rail beside it.
Why does my drawing look a little different?
Filepeek reads CDR files with libcdr, the open source reader LibreOffice and Inkscape use. Some of CorelDRAW's effects aren't drawn, and text is set in the fonts your device has.
Can I save it as a PDF?
Yes. Choose Export, then Save as PDF, and every page of the drawing goes on a page of its own. Save as PNG or JPEG saves pages as pictures.
Does it open CDT templates?
Yes. A CDT is a CorelDRAW drawing saved as a template, and it opens the same way.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The drawing opens inside your browser and never leaves your device.
