View FNT files in your browser
Two kinds of bitmap font share the .fnt name: one size of a Windows font, and a game's font drawn on PNG pages. Open either right here. Nothing leaves your device.
Or drop it anywhere on this page
What you'll see
Your font opens on its glyphs pixel by pixel, every one in a grid at its own size.
- Every glyph pixel by pixel • Each size it has
- Type in it as a terminal shows it • 1× to 4×
- Find a glyph by its character, name or code
- Export • Save as TTF, OTB, BDF, PSF or a PNG sheet
About FNT
A Windows FNT is one size of a bitmap font, the kind FON files pack together, with its glyphs' pixels and widths for one code page. Font editors and old Windows programs save them on their own.
Games use the other kind. AngelCode's BMFont, and many tools after it, draw a font onto PNG pages and save an FNT, as text, XML or binary, that says where each character sits on them, with its kerning. Godot, libGDX and Cocos2d read it.
Filepeek tells them apart by their bytes and reads either in your browser, a BMFont with the PNG pages beside it. See every glyph on its pixel grid, type in it, and save it as TTF, OTB, BDF, PSF 2 or a PNG sheet with a BMFont file of its own.

Questions
How do I open an FNT file?
Drop it on this page or choose Peek an FNT. For a BMFont, drop its PNG pages with it or open their folder, and every glyph shows.
Why are its glyphs empty?
A BMFont's glyphs are drawn on the PNG pages it names, beside it. When they aren't with it, a note names them: open the folder they're in, or drop them together.
Can I turn a game's font into a TTF?
Yes. Choose Export, then Save as TTF. Each pixel becomes a square, so it stays sharp at its own size and whole multiples of it.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The font opens inside your browser and never leaves your device.
