What you'll see
Your font opens on its glyphs pixel by pixel, every one in a grid at its own size.
- Every glyph pixel by pixel • Each size it has
- Type in it as a terminal shows it • 1× to 4×
- Find a glyph by its character, name or code
- Export • Save as TTF, OTB, BDF, PSF or a PNG sheet
About FON
Windows drew its screens with bitmap fonts from Windows 1.0 in 1985 until TrueType came with Windows 3.1, and it still carries FON fonts like Terminal, which the Command Prompt's raster fonts are, for old apps and dialogs.
A FON is a 16 bit Windows program that holds only fonts: an FNT for each size, each with its glyphs' pixels and widths, for one code page of up to 256 characters.
Filepeek reads every size in your browser and shows each glyph on its pixel grid, with the characters of its code page. Type in it as Windows drew it, and save it as TTF, OTB, BDF, PSF 2 or a PNG sheet.

Questions
How do I open a FON file?
Drop it on this page or choose Peek a FON. Each size inside it has a button above the glyphs, and every glyph shows on its pixels.
Can I use a Windows bitmap font on a Mac or on Linux?
Yes. Choose Export, then Save as TTF or Save as OTB. Each pixel becomes a square, so it stays sharp at its own size and whole multiples of it.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The font opens inside your browser and never leaves your device.
