What you'll see
Your ROM opens on a page of its own, with what its header says in plain words and the hashes to check it against No-Intro.
- Its header in plain words • Chips, sizes and region
- CRC32, MD5, SHA-1 and SHA-256 • As No-Intro lists them
- Copy a hash • Or paste one to compare
- Nothing in it runs • Read, never played
About GB
A .gb file is a Game Boy cartridge copied into a file, and a .gbc a Game Boy Color one. Color games that also play on the first Game Boy are often named .gbc too.
Every cartridge has a header at 0x100: Nintendo's logo, which the console checks before it starts, then the title, whether it plays on the Game Boy, the Color or both and uses the Super Game Boy's features, the cartridge type, like MBC1 or MBC5, the ROM and save RAM sizes, the maker, and checksums of the header and of the whole ROM.
Filepeek reads the header in plain words and checks both checksums, then works out the CRC32, MD5, SHA-1 and SHA-256 to compare with No-Intro.

Questions
How do I see what's in a Game Boy ROM?
Drop it on this page or choose Peek a GB. Its page shows the title, the cartridge type, the sizes and the maker, and whether its checksums are right.
Does it open Game Boy Color ROMs?
Yes. A .gbc opens the same way, and its page says whether it plays on the first Game Boy too.
Is my ROM uploaded?
No. It opens inside your browser and never leaves your device.
