About LOTTIE
Lottie began in 2015 as Bodymovin, Hernan Torrisi's After Effects plugin that writes an animation as JSON, and took its name in 2017 when Airbnb made players for iOS, Android and the web. Apps and websites use it for icons, loaders and onboarding screens, since its vectors stay sharp at any size and weigh a few kilobytes.
A Lottie holds its size, frame rate and length, layers of shapes, text and pictures with their keyframes, and precomps that nest layers. LottieFiles' dotLottie (.lottie) zips one or more animations with their pictures, and Telegram's animated stickers (.tgs) are a Lottie, gzipped.
Filepeek plays it on the player at its own frame rate, drawn sharp again at any zoom, on a checkerboard, white or black. Step through it frame by frame and save the frame on show as PNG or JPEG. Expressions are code inside the file, so they never run, and their properties keep their keyframes.

Questions
How do I play a Lottie file?
Drop it on this page or press Peek a LOTTIE. A Lottie's .json, a .lottie or a .tgs sticker opens playing at its own frame rate.
Can I step through the frames?
Yes. Pause, then step back and forth one frame at a time, or drag along the timeline. Its markers are in the details, with the frames they cover.
Do expressions run?
No. An expression is code inside the file, and Filepeek never runs a file's code. A property with one keeps its keyframes, and a note says so.
Can I open Telegram stickers?
Yes. A .tgs sticker is a Lottie, gzipped, and plays the same way.
Is my animation uploaded?
No. The animation plays inside your browser and never leaves your device.
