About MRPACK
Modrinth, the home of many Minecraft mods, shares modpacks as .mrpack files, which launchers like Prism Launcher and Modrinth's own app install. A modpack is a list of mods to download, plus the files that set them up.
An .mrpack is a ZIP with modrinth.index.json at its top. It names the pack and its version, the Minecraft version and the loader, Fabric, Forge, NeoForge or Quilt, then every file to fetch with its path, size, hashes and download links. The overrides folder holds files copied over the game's, like configs.
Filepeek reads the index into a page with the pack's name, version and summary, its Minecraft and loader, and every mod, resource pack and shader with its size, whether it's for the client or the server, and a link to its Modrinth page. Nothing is downloaded, and the overrides open like a folder.
