About ODP

An ODP is a ZIP of XML files: the slides with their shapes and text in content.xml, the masters and styles beside them, the pictures in a folder of their own. It's part of OpenDocument, an OASIS standard since 2005. OTP is a template, FODP the same deck in one plain XML file, and SXI the OpenOffice.org 1 format before it.

LibreOffice Impress saves ODP by default, and PowerPoint, Keynote and Google Slides read it. Schools and public bodies that use LibreOffice share their decks this way.

Filepeek reads the deck itself and draws each slide with its master, fonts, pictures, shapes and tables. See them as Slides, as a Grid, with their Notes or as an Outline, and Present them full screen with their transitions and builds.

Questions

How do I open an ODP file without LibreOffice?

Drop it on this page or choose Peek an ODP. It opens at its first slide, with every slide beside it.

Can I present it?

Yes. Choose Present for a full screen show with the deck's transitions and builds. The arrow keys, a click or a tap move it on, and Escape ends it.

Can I see the speaker notes?

Yes. Notes shows each slide with its notes under it, and Export saves all of them as text.

Can I save it as a PDF?

Yes. Choose Export, then Save as PDF, and every slide goes on a page of its own. Save as PNG or JPEG saves slides as pictures.

Is my file uploaded?

No. The deck opens inside your browser and never leaves your device.
