About OFT
Classic Outlook for Windows saves an email as a template when you choose Save As, then Outlook Template: the subject, recipients, text, formatting and attachments, ready to start a new email from. Companies share them for reports, newsletters and replies they send often.
An OFT is built like an Outlook MSG: a Compound File of MAPI properties, with the subject, the body as plain text, HTML or RTF, and each recipient and attachment stored in parts of their own.
Filepeek reads it into the email it starts, with From, To, the subject and the body as mail apps show them, and each attachment opening on its own. Nothing loads from the web, scripts stay off, and Export saves it as an EML any mail app opens.

Questions
How do I open an .oft file without Outlook?
Drop it on this page or press Peek an OFT. It opens as the email it starts, attachments included.
Why won't my .oft open on a Mac?
Outlook for Mac keeps its own templates as .emltpl files and doesn't open .oft. Filepeek opens it on a Mac, and Export saves an EML that Apple Mail and Outlook for Mac open.
What's the difference between OFT and MSG?
They're built the same way. An MSG is an email that was sent or saved, and an OFT is a template Outlook opens as a new email to send.
Can I turn it into an EML?
Yes. Choose Export, then Save as EML, which Apple Mail, Thunderbird and Outlook open.
