About PPT
A PPT is a binary file inside a Compound File, Microsoft's file system in a file: a stream of records for each slide, its master, its text and its shapes, with the pictures in a stream of their own. It was PowerPoint's format from PowerPoint 97 until PowerPoint 2007 brought PPTX. PPS is saved to open as a show, and POT is a template.
Old decks keep many of their pictures as WMF and EMF drawings that browsers can't show, some hold macros, and a deck can be locked with a password.
Filepeek reads the PPT itself and draws each slide with its master, text, shapes and pictures, WMF and EMF drawings included. See them as Slides, as a Grid, with their Notes or as an Outline, and Present them full screen with their transitions and builds. Macros never run.

Questions
How do I open a PPT file without PowerPoint?
Drop it on this page or choose Peek a PPT. It opens at its first slide, with every slide beside it.
Can I present it?
Yes. Choose Present for a full screen show with the deck's transitions and builds. The arrow keys, a click or a tap move it on, and Escape ends it.
Can I see the speaker notes?
Yes. Notes shows each slide with its notes under it, and Export saves all of them as text.
Can it open a deck with a password?
Yes. Type the password when Filepeek asks, and it opens. The password stays on your device, and it's gone once you close the file.
Does it open decks from PowerPoint 95 or older?
No. Filepeek reads the PPT of PowerPoint 97 and later, which every PowerPoint since saves as PowerPoint 97-2003 Presentation.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The deck opens inside your browser and never leaves your device.
