About TSD

TSD is the IETF's format for a file and its timestamps together, set out in RFC 5544 in 2009. Italian signing apps save contract.pdf.p7m.tsd when they stamp a signed file, and a TSD can hold any file.

Each timestamp comes from a time stamping authority, which signs the file's hash with the moment it saw it. Kept with a signature, it proves the signature was made while the signer's certificate was valid.

Filepeek checks each timestamp against the file it holds and the roots it carries, then the signature of a P7M inside, and opens the file in its own viewer. A FatturaPA invoice is laid out as an invoice.

Questions

How do I open a TSD file?

Drop it on this page or press Peek a TSD. Its timestamps show with who issued them, and the file inside opens in its own viewer.

What's in a .p7m.tsd?

A signed P7M and its timestamp. Filepeek checks both, then opens the signed file, an invoice laid out as an invoice.

Who issues the timestamps?

A time stamping authority, in Europe often a qualified one. Its name and its certificate's chain show with each timestamp.

Is my file uploaded?

No. The file opens inside your browser and never leaves your device.
