About VSDX
VSDX has been Visio's format since Visio 2013: a ZIP of XML parts, like Word's DOCX, with each page's shapes, the masters they come from, the theme and the pictures. VSDM is the same drawing with macros, VSSX a stencil, a set of shapes to drag from, and VSTX a template.
Teams draw flowcharts, org charts, network diagrams, swimlanes and floor plans in Visio, but Visio is sold apart from Microsoft Office and its desktop app only runs on Windows, so a VSDX sent to someone without it usually ends in a request for a PDF.
Filepeek reads the diagram with libvisio, compiled to WebAssembly, and draws each page with its shapes, connectors, arrows, text, fields and pictures in its theme's colors, sharp at any zoom, its pages in a rail beside them. A stencil opens with each of its shapes on a page. Search finds any word, and Export saves the pages as a PDF or as pictures.

Questions
How do I open a VSDX file without Visio?
Drop it on this page or choose Peek a VSDX. It opens at its first page, with every page in a rail beside it.
Does it open VSDM, VSSX and VSTX files?
Yes. A VSDM opens like any drawing and its macros never run, a VSSX stencil opens with each of its shapes on a page of its own, and a VSTX template opens like a drawing.
Why does my diagram look a little different?
Filepeek reads VSDX files with libvisio, the open source reader LibreOffice uses. Some of Visio's effects aren't drawn, and text is set in the fonts your device has.
Can I save it as a PDF?
Yes. Choose Export, then Save as PDF, and every page goes on a page of its own. Save as PNG or JPEG saves pages as pictures.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The diagram opens inside your browser and never leaves your device.
