About XLSB
An XLSB is built like an XLSX, a ZIP of parts with the same charts, pictures and styles, but its sheets are binary records instead of XML, so big workbooks open and save faster and take less room. It came with Excel 2007, and Microsoft documents it as MS-XLSB.
People save workbooks of hundreds of thousands of rows as XLSB, and some systems export it. Few apps other than Excel read it, and it can hold macros like an XLSM.
Filepeek reads the XLSB itself, with the reader it uses for XLSX, so each sheet shows with its number formats, colors, borders, merged cells, frozen panes, charts and pictures. Show formulas shows what's behind each number, and macros never run.

Questions
How do I open an XLSB file without Excel?
Drop it on this page or choose Peek an XLSB. It opens at the sheet it was saved on, with every other sheet a tab away.
Why is an XLSB smaller than its XLSX?
Binary records take less room than XML and are quicker to read, which is why big workbooks are saved as XLSB.
Can I see the formulas?
Yes. Choose Show formulas, and each cell shows its formula instead of the value Excel saved.
Can I save a sheet as CSV?
Yes. Choose Export, then Save sheet as CSV, or Save every sheet as CSV for one file a sheet.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The workbook opens inside your browser and never leaves your device.
