About XYZ
An XYZ file is the simplest way to save a point cloud, and almost every 3D scanner, survey tool and point cloud app, like CloudCompare and MeshLab, reads and writes one.
Each line holds a point's X, Y and Z, split by spaces, commas or semicolons, often followed by its red, green and blue, or by its intensity.
Filepeek reads it in your browser and draws each point in its color, or by its intensity in shades of gray. Turn around it and zoom in, and Export saves the cloud as GLB, or the view as PNG.

Questions
How do I view an XYZ point cloud?
Drop it on this page or press Peek an XYZ. The points open in 3D, in their colors.
Can I save it for another 3D app?
Yes. Choose Export, then Save as GLB, which keeps each point's color.
What if my points have no colors?
They show in one gray, or in shades of gray by their intensity when each line has a fourth number.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The file opens inside your browser and never leaves your device.
