View AMF files in your browser
The standard 3D printing format of ASTM and ISO, an STL with units, colors and materials. Open one right here, with nothing to install. Nothing leaves your device.
Or drop it anywhere on this page
What you'll see
Your model opens in 3D, lit and framed, its size in millimeters, with its objects beside it and what you pick on the other side.
- Its size in millimeters • Read an STL as inches
- Section • Cut it at any height to see inside
- Every object and plate • Hide one or see it alone
- Export • PNG, STL, OBJ, GLB and USDZ
About AMF
ASTM published AMF in 2011, and ISO and ASTM made it a joint standard, ISO/ASTM 52915. PrusaSlicer, Slic3r and Cura read it, and some slicers saved their projects as AMF before 3MF took its place.
An AMF is XML, often zipped: objects with their vertices and triangles in millimeters or the unit it names, colors on objects, triangles or corners, materials, and constellations that place several objects together.
Filepeek reads it in your browser, zipped or not, with each object in its colors and materials and its size in millimeters, Inspect, Measure and Section. Export saves it as STL, OBJ or GLB, or the view as PNG.

Questions
How do I open an AMF file without a slicer?
Drop it on this page or choose Peek an AMF. It opens at once in 3D, in its colors, with nothing to install.
What's the difference between AMF and 3MF?
Both add units, colors and materials to what an STL keeps. AMF is the ASTM and ISO standard from 2011, while 3MF, from 2015, is what most slicers save now. Filepeek opens both.
Can I turn an AMF into an STL?
Yes. Choose Export, then Save as STL, in millimeters, or OBJ, or GLB, which keeps its colors.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The model opens inside your browser and never leaves your device.
