About AZW3
An AZW3 is a book in Kindle Format 8: XHTML parts with CSS, fonts and pictures, kept in a Palm database like MOBI before it. Amazon brought KF8 out in 2011 with the Kindle Fire, and Calibre names a KF8 book on its own .azw3.
Calibre users convert books to AZW3 for their Kindles, since it keeps the fonts, styles and floating pictures MOBI drops. Kindles open it, but browsers, Apple Books and Google Play Books don't.
Filepeek lays the book out on pages the size of a paperback, with its own fonts, styles and pictures, and its contents beside them to jump to any chapter. A link to another chapter goes there, and a web link asks before it opens.

Questions
How do I open an AZW3 file?
Drop it on this page or choose Peek an AZW3. It opens at once on book-sized pages, with its contents beside them.
What's the difference between AZW3 and MOBI?
AZW3 is Kindle Format 8, from 2011, with the CSS, fonts and layout of modern e-books. MOBI is the older Mobipocket format, and many MOBI files carry an AZW3 copy of the book inside, which Filepeek opens.
Can it open books with DRM?
No. A book locked to Kindle's apps can only be read there, and Filepeek says so. Books Calibre makes and books sold without DRM open here.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The book opens inside your browser and never leaves your device.
