What you'll see

Your part opens in 3D with its edges, lit and framed, with its assembly beside it and what you pick on the other side.

About BREP

BREP is OpenCascade's own format, used since the 1990s by the open CAD kernel that FreeCAD, CadQuery, KiCad's 3D view and many tools are built on. FreeCAD saves its shapes as BREP inside its files and exports them on their own.

A BREP file is text that describes an exact shape: its solids, faces, edges and vertices, on planes, cylinders and curved surfaces. It keeps no colors, names or units.

Filepeek reads it with OpenCascade inside your browser and draws the shape with its edges. Inspect gives its size, volume and area, Measure snaps to edges and holes, and Export saves it as STL, OBJ or GLB.

Questions

How do I open a .brep file?

Drop it on this page or press Peek a BREP. The shape opens in 3D, with nothing to install.

Why are the sizes in millimeters?

A BREP keeps no unit, so Filepeek reads it as millimeters, as FreeCAD writes it.

Can I turn a BREP into an STL?

Yes. Choose Export, then Save as STL for a 3D printer.

Is my file uploaded?

No. The file opens inside your browser and never leaves your device.
