About CLIP
Clip Studio Paint, made by Celsys in Japan and once sold as Manga Studio, is the app of choice for manga, comics and anime illustration. Its CLIP file keeps every raster and vector layer, folder, mask and adjustment layer, and a comic of many pages keeps each page as a CLIP of its own.
Inside, a CLIP holds a SQLite database that describes the layers, next to compressed blocks of pixels and a picture of the whole canvas. Only Clip Studio Paint saves it, and few other apps open it.
Filepeek reads the database with SQLite, shows Clip Studio's own picture of the canvas, and lists the layers beside it. Hide a layer or show it alone, and Filepeek blends the rest with Clip Studio's blend modes and its levels, curves and hue adjustments. Save the picture, a layer or every layer as PNG.

Questions
How do I open a CLIP file without Clip Studio Paint?
Drop it on this page or choose Peek a CLIP. It opens at once as Clip Studio saved it, with its layers beside it.
Can I save the illustration as PNG or JPEG?
Yes. Choose Export, then Save as PNG or Save as JPEG. Save this layer and Save every layer save layers as PNG.
Why does the picture change when I hide a layer?
Filepeek blends the layers again by itself when one is hidden or shown alone. A few adjustment layers, such as color balance, posterize and gradient maps, are left out of that blend. With every layer on, you see the picture as Clip Studio saved it.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The file opens inside your browser and never leaves your device.
