About KRA
Krita is a free painting app for illustrators, concept artists and comic artists, made by a KDE community since 2005. Its KRA file is a ZIP: an XML file lists the layers, each layer's pixels are kept in compressed tiles, and a flattened picture of the painting sits beside them.
Other apps rarely read KRA files, so sharing a painting usually means exporting a PNG first. KRZ, the same format packed for archiving, opens here too.
Filepeek shows the painting Krita saved, then lists its layers beside it. Hide a layer or show it alone, and Filepeek blends the rest itself with Krita's blend modes. Save the painting, any layer or every layer as PNG.

Questions
How do I open a KRA file without Krita?
Drop it on this page or choose Peek a KRA. It opens at once as Krita saved it, with its layers beside it.
Can I save it as PNG or JPEG?
Yes. Choose Export, then Save as PNG or Save as JPEG. Save this layer and Save every layer save layers as PNG.
Why does the picture change when I hide a layer?
Filepeek blends the layers again by itself when one is hidden or shown alone, and a few of Krita's filters and effects are left out of that blend. With every layer on, you see the painting as Krita saved it.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The file opens inside your browser and never leaves your device.
