About ORA

OpenRaster was drawn up by the makers of free graphics apps as one layered format they could all read and write. It's the format MyPaint saves in, and Krita, GIMP, Pinta and others open and save it too.

An ORA is a ZIP: stack.xml lists the layers in order with their place, opacity, visibility and blend mode, each layer is a PNG, and a merged picture and a thumbnail sit beside them.

Filepeek shows the merged picture first, then lists the layers beside it. Hide a layer or show it alone and Filepeek blends the rest itself, with the blend modes OpenRaster names. Save the picture, a layer or every layer as PNG.
