About HEVC
H.265, or HEVC, followed H.264 in 2013 with about half the size for the same picture. Security cameras record it to save disk, and encoders and test tools save the bare stream as .hevc, .h265 or .265.
A raw stream is the coded frames one after another, with no container: no sound, no length, no frame rate, only the picture.
Filepeek reads the stream with FFmpeg and lets your browser decode it, so it plays where your browser and device decode HEVC: Safari, and Chrome and Edge on most computers. Export saves an MP4.

Questions
How do I play a .h265 file?
Drop it on this page or press Peek an HEVC. It plays where your browser and device decode HEVC.
Why does the picture not show?
Your browser or device doesn't decode HEVC. Safari does, and Chrome and Edge do on most computers with a recent graphics chip.
Can I make it an MP4?
Yes. Choose Export, then Save as MP4, in H.264 for players that lack HEVC.
Is my video uploaded?
No. The video opens inside your browser and never leaves your device.
