Open NPY files in your browser
The file NumPy saves an array in, from data science to machine learning. Open one right here as a table, with no Python to run. Nothing leaves your device.
Or drop it anywhere on this page
What you'll see
Your table opens at once, its header pinned to the top and its rows counted in the background.
- Every row a scroll away • Files of any size
- Sort and filter • Counts for every column
- Search • Every match counted
- Export • Save as CSV, Excel, JSON or Parquet
About NPY
NumPy saves an array with np.save in an .npy file, and nearly every Python tool for data and science reads it, pandas, PyTorch and scikit-learn among them. Embeddings, features, images and results travel as .npy.
An NPY is a short header that writes the array's type, its shape and its order as a Python dict, then its values in that order, C's row by row or Fortran's column by column. Its type can be any of NumPy's: integers, floats, complex numbers, booleans, text, dates and records of named fields.
Filepeek reads the file in pieces into the table viewer: a row for each row, a column for each value along the last axis, and a column for each field of a structured array, every value as stored. Show details names its type, shape and order, and Export saves it as CSV, Excel, JSON or Parquet.

Questions
How do I open an NPY file without Python?
Drop it on this page or choose Peek an NPY. The array opens as a table, a row for each row, with nothing to install.
Can I convert an NPY to CSV?
Yes. Open it, choose Export, then Save as CSV, or as Excel, JSON or Parquet.
Does opening an NPY run any code?
No. Filepeek reads only its header and its values. An array of Python objects, which NumPy saves with pickle, is never loaded, so it stays shut.
Is my file uploaded?
No. It opens inside your browser and never leaves your device.
