About Numbers
Numbers came with iWork '08 in 2007. Unlike an Excel sheet, a Numbers sheet is a canvas that holds any number of tables, charts and pictures. Since 2013 they're kept in Apple's own binary IWA files, which Apple has never published.
Only Apple's apps and iCloud open Numbers files, so one sent to someone on Windows or Android usually ends in a request to export it as Excel or CSV.
Filepeek reads the Numbers file itself, with the open source cupertino-files, and shows each table and chart on a tab of its own, the tables with their number formats, fonts, fills, borders and formulas. Show as a table sorts and filters a table, and Save as CSV gives you its values.

Questions
How do I open a Numbers file on Windows?
Drop it on this page or choose Peek a Numbers. Each of its tables and charts opens on a tab of its own in your browser, with no Mac and no iCloud account.
Can I see the formulas?
Yes. Choose Show formulas, and each cell shows its formula instead of the value Numbers saved.
Can I save it as CSV?
Yes. Choose Export, then Save sheet as CSV for the table on show, or Save every sheet as CSV for one file a table.
Does it open older Numbers files?
A file from Numbers '09 opens as the preview it keeps of itself, and newer ones are read in full.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The spreadsheet opens inside your browser and never leaves your device.
