About OTF
Microsoft and Adobe made OpenType in 1996 to bring TrueType and Adobe's PostScript fonts together. An OpenType font keeps its outlines either way: as TrueType's quadratic curves, or as cubic curves in a CFF table, as most OTF files do.
OpenType also gave fonts layout features that apps turn on: kerning, ligatures, small caps, old style figures, fractions, stylistic sets and the forms Arabic, Indic and other scripts need. A variable OpenType font holds a range of styles along its axes, like weight from Thin to Black.
Filepeek reads the font in your browser and shows every glyph by Unicode block, with the alternates each feature reaches. Type in it with any feature on or off, slide its axes, read its names and licence, and save a smaller font, one style on its own or WOFF2s for the web.

Questions
How do I see an OTF font without installing it?
Drop it on this page or choose Peek an OTF. Every glyph shows at once, and Type sets any text in it, with nothing installed.
Can I try its features?
Yes. Type lists every feature the font has, such as ligatures, small caps or a stylistic set, and each turns on or off as you type. A glyph's card shows the alternates its features reach.
Is it a variable font?
A variable font shows its axes in a pill under the glyphs and its named styles in a menu. Drag an axis to see every glyph change with it.
Can I save one style of a variable font?
Yes. Set the axes, then choose Export and Save this style for a static font of just that style, or Save every named style for a ZIP of them all.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The font opens inside your browser and never leaves your device.
