About VP3
VSM Group, the maker of Pfaff and Husqvarna Viking machines, made VP3 for both brands and their embroidery software, after Pfaff's VIP and Viking's HUS.
A VP3 keeps each thread's color with its name, brand and number, so a design shows in the threads it was made for, and its stitches in blocks, one for each thread, with the software that made it named in the file.
Filepeek reads it in your browser and draws every stitch in its thread color, sharp at any zoom, each thread a layer in the Threads panel with its name and number, to hide or show alone. Show details gives its size, stitches, colors, jumps and trims, and Export saves it as PNG, SVG, or a PES, DST, JEF or EXP.

Questions
Which thread is each color?
Threads lists each one with the name, brand and number the design keeps, so you can buy the same thread.
What's the difference between VP3, VIP and HUS?
HUS is the format of Husqvarna Viking's older machines and VIP that of Pfaff's, and VP3 took over from both. All three open here.
Can I turn a VP3 into a PES?
Yes. Choose Export, then Save as PES, for Brother's and Baby Lock's machines, with the same stitches and thread colors. JEF, DST and EXP are there too.
