About WIM
Microsoft made the Windows Imaging Format for Windows Vista in 2006, and every Windows since installs from one: sources/install.wim on the install disc, or install.esd, a smaller one compressed with LZMS. Each image inside is an edition, like Home, Pro or Education, and setup copies the one you pick onto the disk.
A file shared by several editions is stored once, so ten editions take little more room than one. An XML part names each image with its build, languages, architecture and size. To fit FAT32 USB sticks, a WIM can be split into .swm parts of under 4 GB.
Filepeek reads it with 7-Zip compiled to WebAssembly and names each edition from that XML, so its folder says Windows 11 Pro and not 6. The card lists every edition with its build, release, languages and size, and the files of any edition open at once.

Questions
How do I see which editions an install.wim holds?
Drop it on this page or choose Peek a WIM. The card lists every edition, like Home, Pro and Education, with its build, languages and size, and each opens as a folder.
Does it open install.esd too?
Yes. An ESD is a WIM compressed harder, and it opens the same way.
What about a WIM split into .swm parts?
Pick or drop all the parts together, install.swm with install2.swm and the rest, and they open as one image.
Can I get one file out of an edition?
Yes. Open its folder, find the file and open or save it, or save a whole folder as a ZIP.
Is my image uploaded?
No. It opens inside your browser and never leaves your device, however big it is.
