About WV
David Bryant released WavPack in 1998, and it's free and open. Music archivists like it because it handles any bit depth, 32-bit float, multichannel sound and even DSD.
Besides lossless, WavPack has a hybrid mode: a small lossy .wv file, plus a .wvc file that restores every bit when the two are together. APE tags carry the title, artist and album.
No browser plays WavPack by itself. Filepeek decodes it with FFmpeg inside your browser, and Export saves an MP3, or a WAV for apps that don't take WV.

Questions
How do I play a WV file?
Drop it on this page or press Peek a WV. It plays right in your browser, with nothing to install.
What's the .wvc file next to it?
It's the correction file of a hybrid WavPack, which turns the lossy .wv back into lossless. The .wv plays on its own here.
Can I convert WavPack to MP3?
Yes. Choose Export, then Save as MP3, and its tags go along. Drag the handles on the waveform strip to save only a part.
Is my music uploaded?
No. The WV is decoded inside your browser and never leaves your device.
