About ACO
Photoshop saves the colors of its Swatches panel as ACO files and loads them back with Load Swatches. Each color is saved in its own model, RGB, HSB, CMYK, Lab or gray, and newer files keep each color's name after the plain list older Photoshops read.
Palette sites and brand kits hand out ACO files for Photoshop, and nothing else shows their colors. A color from a color book, like Pantone, is kept by its name alone.
Filepeek shows every swatch with its name and value. Click a color to copy it as HEX, RGB, CMYK or Lab, and save the palette as ASE for other Adobe apps, as a GIMP palette or as CSS custom properties.
