Open UNITY files in your browser
The file a Unity scene is saved in, a level or a menu of a Unity game. Open one right here as Unity's Hierarchy and Inspector, without the editor. Nothing leaves your device.
Or drop it anywhere on this page
What you'll see
Your scene opens as Unity's Hierarchy, with the Inspector of what you pick beside it.
- The Hierarchy • GameObjects nested by their Transforms
- The Inspector • Every component and its fields
- Scripts by name • From the .meta files dropped with it
- Scene, Tree or Text
About UNITY
Unity, the engine behind a great share of the world's games, saves each scene of a project as a .unity file in its Assets folder: the GameObjects of a level or a screen, with their components.
Unity writes scenes as text by default: YAML documents, each headed --- !u! and a class ID from Unity's list, 1 a GameObject, 4 a Transform and 114 a MonoBehaviour, a script. Objects point at each other by file ID, and at scripts and assets in other files by GUID.
Filepeek reads each document on its own, since Unity's YAML isn't quite YAML, nests the GameObjects by their Transforms into the Hierarchy and shows each one's components in the Inspector, prefab instances by their source. Drop the project's folder too, and the .meta files beside each script name it.

Questions
How do I open a Unity scene without Unity?
Drop the .unity file on this page or choose Peek a UNITY. Its GameObjects open in the Hierarchy, and the Inspector shows what you pick.
Why are the scripts named by numbers?
A scene names its scripts by their GUID. Drop the project's folder, or the scene with the .meta files of its scripts, and each script shows by its name.
Can I see the scene in 3D?
Not from the .unity alone, since its meshes, materials and textures are other files of the project. The 3D viewer opens the FBX, OBJ and glTF models themselves.
Is my scene uploaded?
No. It opens inside your browser and never leaves your device.
